James V. Choulos, Esq.
(Founding Partner)

James has been practicing law for over 30 years, receiving his J.D. in 1990 from Santa Clara University. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1986 with a B.A in Political Science. James was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity.
Mr. Choulos occasionally serves on a mediation panel for the Marin Superior Court. In addition to being a member of the California Bar Association, James is active in the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Associations (S.F.T.L.A.) and American Association for Justice (A.A.J). He is also a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California.
Prior to forming Choulos Law Group in 2004, James gained knowledge and experience while at Choulos, Choulos and Wyle, while working alongside his father, Vasilios Choulos. Vasilios B. Choulos (1927-2003), was a well-known San Francisco trial lawyer and who was also a senior partner to another famous trial lawyer, Melvin Belli.
Outside of the office, Mr. Choulos is a motorcycle enthusiast and an avid bicyclist. He is an accomplished outdoorsman and spends much of his time with his daughter, Siena.

Victor Tsoi, Esq.

Victor graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 2007 with a B.A. in Mass Communications and minor in Economics. He received his J.D. in 2011 from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he served as President of both the Entertainment Law Society and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
​
Prior to joining Choulos Law Group in 2015, Mr. Tsoi worked for several years in Los Angeles, CA in Entertainment Law and then in Business Development for the clothing company, Lili's Closet, based in New York City. He is an active member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (S.F.T.L.A.).
Mr. Tsoi comes from a long line of doctors and nurses in his family, who instilled in him the values of caring, patience and understanding, making him a natural fit to help provide outstanding representation to the firm's personal injury clients. Mr. Tsoi also handles matters in the Business Transactions practice area of the firm, representing businesses and entertainment clients draft and negotiate contracts.
In his free time, Victor likes to run marathons, golf and travel the world experiencing new cultures and cuisines.

John Lee

John graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 2005 with a B.A. in Legal Studies. He has over 7 years of professional work experience in the legal field providing support to attorneys.
Prior to joining Choulos Law Group in 2020, John worked for various law firms that
specialized in different areas of the law. However, he especially enjoys working in personal injury, because he knows that his hard work helps contribute to the firm's ultimate goal of getting justice for those who have been wrongfully injured by others.
John is a coffee enthusiast, and alongside his coffee, he enjoys reading the latest best-sellers. He also enjoys working out and playing basketball in his spare time.
